Videotron advertising in Bandung works best when the screen sits on a route your audience actually travels every day, not simply where the street looks busy. In Bandung, 8infiniooh operates five LED screens, each 4 m x 8 m, at three locations: two faces on Jl. Buah Batu, two faces on Jl. LLRE Martadinata (known locally as Jalan Riau), and one screen on Jl. Sunda near Jl. Merdeka. Every screen is single-sided, so the direction of traffic it faces decides who sees your ad. Below is how to read the five sites, when each one fits a campaign, and what to prepare before your creative goes live.
The five digital billboard sites in Bandung and the traffic they face
Before comparing locations, check which way each screen points. These are the specifications of the sites we currently operate.
| Site | Address | Size | Faces traffic heading to |
|---|---|---|---|
| LED Buah Batu A | Jl. Buah Batu No.159, Turangga | 4 m x 8 m, single face | Padalarang toll road |
| LED Buah Batu B | Jl. Buah Batu No.159, Turangga | 4 m x 8 m, single face | Central Bandung |
| LED Riau A | Jl. LLRE Martadinata No.32, Citarum | 4 m x 8 m, single face | Cicaheum |
| LED Riau B | Jl. LLRE Martadinata No.32, Citarum | 4 m x 8 m, single face | BIP / central Bandung |
| LED Sunda | Jl. Sunda No.93, near Jl. Merdeka | 4 m x 8 m, single face | BIP / central Bandung |
Because all five screens share one size, a single creative file runs on every site without rework. What differs is the street context: who passes by, where they are going, and how much time they have to look up at the screen.
Buah Batu: one street, two very different audiences
At Jl. Buah Batu No.159, both screens are mounted on a structure that spans the road, so drivers see them straight ahead rather than at an angle from the curb. Face A looks at traffic moving toward the Padalarang toll road. The people reading your message are leaving the city or heading for the highway. Messages that suit them tend to be about travel, vehicles, or something easy to remember until they arrive, such as an app name or a product they might pick up at the next convenience store.
Face B looks at the opposite flow, toward central Bandung. Drivers on this side are coming into the city for work, school, shopping, or meetings. For them, a call to action close to their destination makes more sense: a promotion at a city-centre store, a weekend event, a new outlet opening, or a campaign you want them to see every morning.
If the budget allows, booking both Buah Batu faces puts your message in front of both directions on the same stretch of road. That is useful for launches, when the goal is to make a brand feel present everywhere within a single week.
Jalan Riau and Jalan Sunda: corridors into the city centre
Jl. LLRE Martadinata, which most residents call Jalan Riau, is a shopping and dining corridor in central Bandung. Riau A faces traffic heading east toward Cicaheum, while Riau B faces traffic heading toward BIP and the city centre. One location therefore gives you two audiences: people on their way home to the east and people just arriving in the busiest part of town.
LED Sunda stands at Jl. Sunda No.93, near Jl. Merdeka, and faces traffic heading toward BIP. Its position close to the shopping district makes it a good fit for messages that send people somewhere within a short distance, such as a store inside the mall or an event around Jl. Merdeka.
Note that three screens, Buah Batu B, Riau B and Sunda, all face traffic heading into central Bandung. If your target is people travelling into the centre, the three can be combined into one plan. A driver who passes more than one site sees the same message several times on one trip, and that kind of repetition helps a brand stick.
One site or several?
This question usually comes up early in planning. The answer depends on the campaign goal, not on how many screens are available.
- A single site fits when your audience is concentrated in one area, for example a store near the screen or an event that matters mainly to nearby residents.
- Both faces at one location fit when you want to reach the outbound and inbound flows on the same road, so the same commuters see you in the morning and again in the evening.
- Several locations fit product launches and city-wide campaigns, when you want the brand visible on several main corridors during the same period.
For a broader comparison between roadside screens and screens inside shopping centres, read our piece on mall LED advertising versus roadside LED. The same logic applies in Bandung: roadside screens reach people on the move, mall screens reach people who are already shopping.
Creative for a 4 x 8 m screen seen from a vehicle
Drivers usually have only a few seconds to read a screen, and several Bandung streets are lined with large trees that limit the view from far away. The creative that performs best is the creative that still reads clearly at a glance.
Use one main message per creative. The logo and product name need to be legible from a distance, so give them generous size and strong contrast against the background. Skip small text such as terms and conditions or full street addresses; nobody on the road will have time to read them. If you must include a web address or a social handle, choose the shortest one you have.
Motion helps catch the eye, but keep it under control. Animation that moves too fast makes the message hard to absorb, while a calm transition with a single focal point is easier to remember. A simple test: look at the creative on a phone held at arm's length. If the logo and the main line are still clear, the design will very likely read well on the street too.
We have also written about readable billboard design for drivers and about videotron slot length and frequency. Both apply to the Bandung screens, because the viewing pattern is the same: people looking up from a moving vehicle.
What shapes the cost of videotron advertising in Bandung
There is no single fixed figure. These are the factors the team usually works through when preparing a proposal.
First, the length of your creative and the number of plays per day. A longer spot or more frequent slots takes a larger share of screen time. Second, the campaign period, since weekly and monthly bookings are structured differently. Third, the number of sites and faces; a multi-site package is planned as one schedule rather than a simple sum. Fourth, production work if you do not yet have files in the right resolution. Fifth, the advertising permit and tax components that apply in the city of Bandung, which are worth raising at the start so nothing surprises you halfway through the campaign.
Because every campaign combines these differently, the quickest way to get an accurate figure is to share your goal, period and target audience directly with our team.
Next steps before you book
Start by writing down who you want to reach and where they are heading. From there, pick the screen face that looks at that flow of traffic. Set the campaign period, then prepare one main message that can be read in a few seconds. Ask the team for the technical file specification before your designer starts, so the artwork does not need to be redone.
While the campaign runs, our field team photographs the screens regularly as proof-of-play documentation. If you need those photos for an internal report or to show stakeholders, tell the team at the start, together with the dates that matter most to your campaign.
