If you are planning LED videotron advertising at Bundaran HI, 8infiniooh offers two kinds of screen around the same roundabout: a three-sided robotic LED on the Mandarin Oriental building that faces the roundabout head-on, and an LED screen in front of Sarinah with Side A facing toward Bundaran HI and Side B facing toward Monas. Both sit on the Thamrin corridor in Central Jakarta, yet they do different jobs. The Mandarin screen is read from a distance by traffic circling the roundabout. The Sarinah screen sits much closer to the cars passing beneath it. Before comparing prices or formats, decide which audience you are chasing and how many seconds they actually have to look.
LED screens at and near Bundaran HI
The table below comes from our own inventory data. Where a size is not listed, we send full technical specs together with the quote.
| Site | Location | Size | Facing |
|---|---|---|---|
| LED Mandarin (robotic LED) | Mandarin Oriental building, Central Jakarta | 27 x 9 m, 8 x 16 m, 27 x 9 m (3 sides) | Bundaran HI |
| LED Sarinah A | Sarinah, Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta | Provided with quote | Toward Bundaran HI |
| LED Sarinah B | Sarinah, Bundaran HI, Central Jakarta | Provided with quote | Toward Monas |
| LED Dukuh Atas | Jl. Blora No. 23, Menteng, Central Jakarta | 7 x 14 m, 1 side | Jl. Jend. Sudirman toward Senayan |
Dukuh Atas is not on the roundabout itself. We include it because it sits on the Sudirman stretch that runs straight into Thamrin, so a plan that uses both lets the same message appear twice on one commute.
The Mandarin robotic LED, three faces on one roundabout
LED Mandarin is the first robotic LED in Indonesia. It is built from two wide 27 x 9 m faces flanking an upright 8 x 16 m face in the centre. Because it faces Bundaran HI, it is visible from several directions at once: drivers going around the roundabout, passengers on buses along Thamrin, and people on foot near the fountain.
One campaign, two aspect ratios
A common mistake is supplying a single 16:9 master and expecting it to cover all three faces. The two outer faces are wide; the centre face is portrait. You need at least two cuts. Disney's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 campaign on LED Mandarin used a pattern worth copying: the portrait poster on the centre face, the film title on both wide faces. A driver who only glances still catches the title, while someone stopped at the lights has time to take in the poster.
The alternative is to treat all three faces as one long canvas. It looks impressive from across the roundabout, but the artwork has to account for the corners of the building where the faces meet. Talk this through with our team before your motion designers start.
When the robotic feature earns its place
Movement is worth paying for when it is part of the idea, such as a launch built around a reveal in front of the public. For a routine monthly message, the three static faces are enough. Available movement options, scheduling and technical preparation vary by period, and we cover them on the robotic LED at Bundaran HI page.

Sarinah screens for traffic on Jalan Thamrin
The Sarinah screen follows different rules. Viewing distance is shorter and drivers see it face-on rather than from the side of a roundabout. That means the creative can carry slightly more, for example a product name plus one event date.
The side you choose decides who you meet. Side A faces toward Bundaran HI and Side B toward Monas. If your audience is office workers on Thamrin and Sudirman during the morning and evening peaks, ask us which side catches the flow at those hours. If you are pulling people to an event near Monas or at Sarinah itself, the side that faces the same way they are travelling usually makes more sense.
Many brands use both: Mandarin for the large visual that builds presence, Sarinah to repeat the message with practical detail a short distance later.
Matching the schedule to the area's rhythm
Bundaran HI has distinct patterns. On weekdays, mornings and evenings bring slow-moving private cars, motorcycle taxis and buses, so short messages with strong visuals do the work. On Sunday mornings, Car Free Day turns Thamrin and Sudirman over to walkers and cyclists moving at an easy pace. People have time to read, and a call to action such as scanning a QR code or visiting a nearby booth becomes realistic.
Night is another environment. The screen is brighter than its surroundings, so mostly white backgrounds can feel harsh. If your creative is light-heavy, ask for a darker night version.

Year-end and New Year's Eve
We are writing this in late October, when December enquiries start arriving. Bundaran HI is one of Jakarta's main gathering points on New Year's Eve, and slots for that period go early. If your campaign targets 12.12, Christmas or the countdown, lock in the site and dates now and finish the creative afterwards. Our article on planning a year-end advertising campaign in Jakarta lays out the timeline.
Public events in the area can also change traffic arrangements on specific days. We let you know if anything affects a site's visibility during your flight.
Picking a site mix by campaign goal
Not every brief needs all three Mandarin faces. These are three situations we see often, with the mix we usually propose as a starting point.
A launch with a fixed date
Impact in the first days matters more than a long run. All three Mandarin faces for one to two weeks around the release date give a big visual moment; after that, keep one face or move to Sarinah for the reminder phase. If launch day is a Sunday, consider a dedicated Car Free Day cut.
An event or store around Thamrin
When the goal is footfall to a pop-up, exhibition or nearby mall event, the Sarinah screen carries the practical information closest to the destination. Mandarin can reinforce it over the event weekend.
Long-term brand presence
Over several months, frequency and consistency beat sheer size. One Mandarin face paired with LED Dukuh Atas on Sudirman puts your message on the same office commute twice. Refresh the creative regularly, monthly for example, so a repeat audience does not tune out.
Creative that holds up from across the roundabout
Brands that have run on LED Mandarin include Samsung for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S24 and Unpacked, Nestle for Bear Brand and Nescafe Cappuccino, Permata Bank, Spotify, and Disney for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. Phones, drinks, banking and entertainment have little in common, but the technical demand is identical: the message has to read from the other side of the roundabout. The checks we run on incoming files:
- One main message per scene, with type large enough to read at distance.
- Logo on screen from the first second, not held back for the end card.
- Separate files for the wide and portrait faces, never an automatic crop.
- No fine print; put terms and conditions on the landing page.

What drives the cost of Bundaran HI LED advertising
We do not publish figures because the cost depends on the combination you choose. The main factors are the site and side, how many Mandarin faces you take, slot length and plays per hour, campaign length, and season, with December usually busier than other months. Use of the robotic feature and production for several aspect ratios also feed into the quote.
On top of media cost there is Jakarta's advertising tax and permitting, which follow local government rules. Foreign brands and agencies should raise this with us early so the quote you receive is complete.
From brief to proof of play
- Send a short brief: product, audience, preferred dates, and any launch or event date you need to hit.
- We recommend sites and sides, for example Mandarin alone or combined with Sarinah and Dukuh Atas.
- We check slot availability. For December, do this as early as possible.
- You receive technical specs per face and your agency produces the files.
- Our team reviews the creative before it goes live, including legibility and compliance with local content rules for outdoor advertising.
- During the flight, you receive field photos from the sites you booked.
The most useful thing to do today is fix your campaign dates and message the 8infiniooh team on WhatsApp at +6282288108888. We will check what is still open on LED Mandarin and Sarinah and come back with a side recommendation and a quote.
